Impose course-to-course constraints [New]
- Go to the display Timetable > Course > Course to course constraints.
- In the list, select the courses you want to link, then click on Add a constraint.
- In the pop-up window, select the type of constraint to be applied:
- Impose the placement of selected courses the same fortnight/half-day/day/customized number of half-days,
- Prohibit the placement of selected courses the same fortnight/half-day/day/customized number of half-days,
- Define the order of selected courses within the same week,
- Prevent selected courses from following each other.
- In the pop-up window, you can assign a designation to the constraint.
The box Optional constraint is ticked by default: if the constraint is optional, it will be taken into account during automatic placement but can be lifted when resolving failures (tick Search options > Ignoring optional course-to-course constraints- if the constraint must be respected, un-tick this box. - Click on Create: the constraints and associated courses appear in the list.
If you have created a constraint of the type Define the order of selected courses within the same week, you can change the order of courses using the buttonsand
located on the right of the screen.
